Ni’ihau is a “World Class” dive destination that contains lava tubes, large aqautic life, amazing topography and the opportunity to see Hawaiian Monk Seal. Due to the crossing (17 mile channel + distance from harbor) this is always an “ocean conditions” dependent trip (fairly consitent May – September with windows throughout the year).
Plan on a whole day of fun with an early departure. It is not uncommon to see bottlenose dolphins, pilot whale, spinner dolphin and baitballs along the way. Your dives are drift dives and we provide you with safety sausages. With 300 foot vertical drops, the view from “above” is spectacular. Ni’ihau has the most extensive maze of lava tubes in Hawaii.
An advanced site, Ni’ihau is not for the faint of heart. It is also not for beginners and we require proof (log book) of 30+ dives for this destination
